Thomas Coaches was founded in 1967 by it's then, and present owner Mr Walter Glyn Thomas. We now specialise in providing high specification single deck and double deck vehicles for use by the travel industry. We operate from the old "National Welsh" bus depot in Porth, South Wales, approximately 18 miles from our capital city, Cardiff.

Our high specification single deck and double deck coaches are equipped with all the necessary amenities you would expect in find in a vehicle suitable for long distance coach travel. e.g, a WC and washroom, hot and cold drinks facilities, video and PA system, reclining seats and double glazing, air conditioning or forced air ventilation, and for passenger safety, seat belts and ABS brakes.

In 1996, a subsidiary company was formed by Mr Thomas's wife, Judith and his son Ian, called "Thomas Rhondda". This company has continued to thrive and expand in conjunction and along side it's parent company.

Our vehicles are garaged in Porth and are maintained to the highest possible standard by our experienced garage staff, they also have regular safety checks and are kept up to date in accordance with tour operators guidelines.

We are also an approved MOT testing station for vehicles of classes 4, 5 and 7. We also test diesels and vehicles with catalytic converters.

We also provide PCV driver training from our premises in Porth, five, seven and ten day courses are available, each course includes intensive tuition by our qualified driving instructor, a theory test, ( this must be taken, and passed before your driving test ), and a driving test at the end of the course.

Our smaller 24 and 29 seat vehicles are used on local public service routes and British Rail also use our vehicles to provide a rail link service to remote area's.
